Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about crafting professional sausages at home.
What is the shelf life of your sausage seasonings and cures?
Most of our dry seasonings and cures have a shelf life of 12 to 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always ensure the packaging is tightly sealed after use to maintain potency and flavor.
Do you offer international shipping for equipment and casings?
Currently, we ship to all 50 states and Canada. Due to varying agricultural regulations, some natural casings may have restrictions for international transport; please check our shipping policy page for specific regional details.
Can I return meat processing equipment if it has been used?
For sanitary reasons, we cannot accept returns on any equipment, such as grinders or stuffers, that has come into contact with raw meat. Unopened and unused equipment can be returned within 30 days of purchase.
How do I know which size casing to buy for my project?
Each product page includes a size guide. Generally, 19mm-21mm is ideal for snack sticks, 32mm-35mm for traditional bratwurst, and larger fibrous casings are best for summer sausage or salami.
Are your spice blends gluten-free and MSG-free?
We offer a wide variety of blends that are both gluten-free and MSG-free. Please refer to the specific ingredient list on each product page or look for the 'Clean Label' badge on our premium seasonings.
How long does shipping typically take for home processing supplies?
Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Depending on your location, standard ground shipping usually delivers your supplies within 3 to 7 business days.
